Richard qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1975 and began his career in accountancy practice before moving into senior financial roles across the retail and distribution sectors. He joined Wincanton as Group Treasurer in 2005, playing a key role until his retirement in 2012 following the sale of the group’s overseas business.
Upon retirement, Richard was invited to become a Company-Nominated Trustee of the Wincanton Pension Scheme. Now one of the longest-serving trustees, he contributes his financial expertise as a member of both the Investment Sub-Committee and the Benefits Sub-Committee.
